"By presenting a range of experiences from different countries, the book aims to inspire scholars, practitioners, decision-makers, and, of course, students to become curious about land polices in other nations. [...] This book [discusses] land policies in Europe—not as an encyclopaedic comparison, but as a work that encourages and enables reflections on land policies beyond national borders. The editors and authors developed this book out of a belief that international perspectives on land policy can inspire and enrich reflections on these crucial issues, linking back to the overarching question of land." (Hartmann, Hengstermann, Jehling, Schindelegger, Wenner: Introducing Land Policies in Europe)

This book is the result of years of research and cooperation across Europe, discussing cases from Austria, Belgium, Czechia, England, Finland, France, Germany, Norway, Poland, Sweden, Switzerland and the Netherlands. It has been edited by Thomas Hartmann, Andreas Hengstermann, Mathias Jehling, Arthur Schindelegger und Fabian Wenner.

The book has been published by Springer and is available with open access here.
